Many of us think that a table is a simple board with 4 legs and that it is impossible to reinvent it, but Italian designer Daniela Forti has own vision of a modern table design.
The artist creates her works of art in a rather unusual technique. She uses a unique method of working with glass. A special degree of heating and cooling allows creating elegant glass tables that remind of a familiar sea creature.
Daniela Forti calls her creations “jellyfish” because of their wavy tentacles, the beautiful shapes of which are formed manually from a high-quality molten glass. In her hands, the fragile material becomes unbreakable and powerful. It challenges the forces of gravity in these breathtaking sculptures.
