London has long had a Fashion Week and a Design Festival. Now there is London Craft Week. A magical combination of imagination, individuality, passion, and skill found in the best-made of things.
Now in its fourth year, London Craft Week takes place this year from 9th to 13th May and there will be over 200 events taking place across the capital, with studios and crafts people opening their doors to the public. More than 50 crafts are represented, including leatherwork, ceramics, basket making and wood carving. Most tickets, if required, can be booked through the London Craft Week website.
“Whether your intention is to consume or simply converse, if you appreciate beauty and the value of craftsmanship, then London Craft Week is one of the month’s must-visit events.”
Authenticity is at the heart of London Craft Week and the programme aims to attract a broad audience united in their appreciation of imagination, individuality, passion, and skill. A curated programme of events across London allows visitors to create their own itinerary, meet the makers and gain access to exclusive exhibitions, demonstrations, and workshops.
London Craft Week reflects a global trend, with increasingly discerning visitors searching out objects of beauty and substance against a flowering of craftsmanship worldwide. It bridges iconic heritage and contemporary brands as well as independent makers and allows them to tell their stories.
